About Charlotte
Born in Helsinki Finland, Charlotte Wave writes stories that weave together emotional truth, cultural depth, and the quiet beauty of human resilience.
Now based in the small Italian town in the Marche region, she shares her home with her two children, their rescue dog and two mischievous bunnies, Storm and Thunder. Her life, much like her writing, moves between worlds — from the northern silence of snow to the golden sun of Mediterranean summers.
Before turning fully to literature, Charlotte’s life was as international as her stories. A former model with a decades long career in fashion and beauty, she has lived and traveled across Europe. Her stories draw from those collections of impressions, languages, and human encounters that later find their way into her work. Her writing carries the mark of a traveler’s soul — open, observant, and quietly courageous.
From the moment she could read, Charlotte devoured everything from Shakespeare to Arthurian legends, from crime novels to law books on her father’s shelf. Her gift with words emerged early: she won her first writing competition as a child and saw her letter about motherhood published in Helsingin Sanomat as a teenager.
Later writing became her anchor through the storms of life — from a failed marriage and a painful divorce to her eventual rediscovery of independence and creative purpose.
She continues her work as an author and speaker, and will go on to write and publish new stories, advocate for animal rescue and adoption, and share her message and journey through public speaking and creative storytelling.
